I live in London where I have lived and worked all my life (so far). I regard this as a penance for some dastardly deed committed in a former life and I would much rather be in Cumbria.
I've been taking photos for over 40 years and I'm still learning.
Gear I currently use:
Nikon cameras: D300 DX & D700 FX, Nikon SB800 flash (hardly ever used) and Nikon MB-D10 battery grip.
Nikon prime lenses: 35mm f2, 50mm f1.8, 85mm f1.8, 180mm f2.8.
Zoom lenses: Tokina 12-24mm, & Tamron 28-300mm VC.
Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 & Sigma 50-500mm - mainly used for safari trips and bird photography. I also use a Manfrotto tripod and monopod.
I'm mainly a landscape, wildlife and travel photographer but I'm also very fond of old buildings and ruins or anything old really (it makes me feel secure)  .
I firmly believe that all the best English countryside, history and villages (perhaps excepting Dorset), are in the north of the country along with the best people. |
