I live in London where I have lived and worked all my life (so far). I regard this as a penance for some dastardly deed committed in a former life and I would much rather be in Cumbria.
I've been taking photos for about 40 years and I'm still learning.
I have at present: Nikons D200 & D300, Nikon SB800 flash (hardly ever used), Tokina 12-24mm zoom, Sigma 30mm f1.4, Nikon 50mm f1.8 & 85mm f1.8 & 18-200mm VR zoom, Sigma 70-300mm macro & 50-500mm. This last lens is mainly used for safari trips and bird photography, it is rather too heavy to use as a carry about!
I'm mainly a landscapist and wildlife photographer but I'm also very fond of old buildings and ruins or anything old really (it makes me feel secure)  .
I firmly believe that all the best English countryside, history and villages (perhaps excepting Dorset), is in the north of the country along with the best people. |
