About Me I have been photographing off and on since 1980 starting out with a Canon AE-1 SLR. My last film camera was a Nikon F5. I switched to digital in 2002 with a Nikon D1X. All of my gear now is Nikon. I guess I could consider myself a semi-professional as I do sell some prints and have done many weddings, though I don't advertise myself as a wedding photographer and sports photog. I have had 4 images published in a book called "Capture Arkansas" and have had some sports photos published in the local paper. I have done one cover shoot for a local magazine and have had my photos on several local phone book covers. But there is always room for improvement and my goal is to constantly learn something new each time I shoot or post process. I use Photoshop CS5 and Capture NX2 to post process using Nik plug-in software extensively. Currently my only camera body is the Nikon D700. My lens are the 24-70mm/2.8 zoom; 35mm/1.4G prime; 50mm/1.4G prime; 85mm/1.4G prime; 105mm macro; and the 70-200mm VRII/2.8 zoom. I also use the teleconverter TC-14E II and TC-20E III. My most useful gadgets are the expodisc and Whibal card for proper white balancing digital images. I like to shoot HDR images and want to learn to use the "Dagan Effect".
