About Me What kind of photographer am I? Where am I going with my photography or where is my photography taking me?

My goal has always been to capture images that people look at everyday and do not see. Then to present those images
in a composition of exceptional color and clarity. My images are more a combination of Digital Photography and a touch of
believable Digital Art.

Lack of perspective on one's own work is dangerous, It makes one think his stuff is good or bad when it is not necessarily so.
It is easy to be lulled into thinking that lots of critiques means the shots are good - or - lack of critiques means ones shots are
bad. In fact neither may be the case and usually is not.

I was once told that one blurred image is a mistake - one hundred blurred images is a Style. My Style has been
referred to at times as "Minimal" or "Simple". I believe that a part of ones style is influenced by their surroundings.
History in our area goes back 140 - 150 years, to the pioneer days. In the UK, for example, the National Trust
started buying properties a little over 110 years ago. My environment and subject matter, will then be, much different than someone
from Europe.

When I see an image, it may take many trips and many frames to get in right. Shoot some, look at them on the computer. Study
what I like and do not like and plan the next shots. As an example, .... "Natures Waterfall I & II"....(in my gallery), took many many trips
some with and some without a camera. Observing the area, I knew there was an image there, just had to find it.

Noton's (SunToucher) Edicts: -- Great Ideas!!!!

1: Ignore all the bollocks, get out there and expose. Take your camera for a walk. Use your eyes.
2: Keep it real. Only you can decide what 'real' is, but your stunning image has to be believable.
3: Follow your passion. Make pictures that are unique to you. Got a particular enthusiasm? Flog it to death.

I see PC as a community and as such feel that we all have some basic politeness obligations to each other. It is probably too vague a notion to explain but as an example I respond to those that write comments on my work because it is polite.

I also write comments and critiques to those who have not written to me, but I do not continue writing to unresponsive members because I think ignoring someone is impolite.

Thanks, so much for looking in.
