| About Me |
I've been taking photographs for over 20 years and the areas that interest me most are wildlife and landscape although i do dabble with other genres when the mood takes me.
Wildlife photography always has and always will remain my passion, i enjoy every aspect of the process from the fieldcraft to the final capture and i pride myself in accomplishing this without any direct interference to the subject or it's habitat.
Patience is the most important ingredient of wildlife photography and without it i would probably be visiting wildlife parks and zoos for subject matter which is something i never do because i don't like to see animals in captivity and they never look in any way natural in a man made environment, and "natural" is what i always aim for.
I use Canon equipment and have done since i started to get serious about photography. I recently treated myself to a 7D because it suits my aims perfectly and gives a 51.4MB file straight out of camera which is perfect for stock photography agencies. Yipeeee, no more up-sizing files
I do occasionaly treat my old EOS600 to a roll of velvia to keep the cobwebs at bay so some of my uploads will be scanned images.
When it comes to photo critique, i would like everyone to be brutaly honest in their assesment of my photos because this i think, is a great way to really improve and grow as a photographer. I will also try to give an honest and constructive critique on other members photos and i'm happy to help those who are new to photography so please feel free to message me if you have any questions.
Most important of all.... have fun
Thanks for stopping by to read this.
