I like the perspective you took from ground level with the face of the cliff rising majestically over the head of the viewer, the manner in which the sunlight highlights the cliff face and really serves to draw the eyes of the viewer out of the relative darkness at ground level and the sense of awe that I feel as I view this setting. Another place to visit for any photograph worth their salt.

The most beautiful park in the USA. I love the gorgeous "golden hour" light on the face of this famous rock. When I was there our guide pointed out several climbers who were still making the ascent and hadn't gotten up out of bed yet. Their little narrow cots were still hanging on the side of the rockface. This is perfectly captured - and I do love that gentle golden glow.

Hi Gary

It is a beautiful place, it is in my opinion tied with Yellowstone. Nice capture with good color, detail and exposure

A well known sight to all lovers of fine landscape. (El Capitan?)
I love the play of light and shadow on the trees and colours that are strong yet natural.
I feel it is a little tight at the top - but that's just me.
This picture needs to be viewed at the large size to get full advantage of the perfect sharpness of detail when one can almost see the handholds by which to climb the rock face.

Iconic. I nearly always see the long view of the valley rather than this more personal view. Wonderful exposure and color on display here.

Beautiful, makes me want to go see this great park now. I haven't been since I was a child. It was awesome to me then.

I have never been to Yosemite, even though I have driven past it, the roads are always closed! I feel like I have been there though having seen so many beautiful images posted of it. This is a different view from any I have seen of this icon. beautiful shot!!!

This is an amazing shot. I am planning to visit Yosemite sometime this year. What time of year is best to get the best light? Thanks for your comment on my photo. I appreciate it, Bill
