Sugarloaf Mountain in Heber Springs is a landmark and has been used as a landmark since back in the 1800's. It is basically an erosional remnant from years of water from the Little Red River and Greers Ferry Lake. I was told indians made arrows from the available flint rock there. I got there in time to catch the fog that was beginning to burn off and lift. Fishmen come from all over the US to fish these waters for trout.

This perspective creates the illusion with Sugerloaf Mountain of a human being rising slowly out of the greenery... a little tuft of hair on the top, a black element on the right of the rock formation creating an eye and the shaved side of the head. I think it is probably the sunlight from the rising sun highlighted Sugarloaf Mountain that creates that illusion for me... either that or I've drinking something stronger than coffee today.

I love your exposure - you pressed your shutter button at the most precise time. The mist rising off the water adds to the mystique of this beautiful place.

The lighting on the mountain is gorgeous, and the misty water below really makes for a very lovely image.
