I was at the Little Rock Zoo today getting in some practice with my new lens and teleconverter. It is going to take some practice on handholding especially with the 2x teleconverter. This is one of the shots I took handholding at 380mm. Spot metering, f/8, ISO 1600, 1/200s. Nikon D700, 70-200mm/2.8 VR II, TC-20E III Teleconverter.

Here is mine. "I have my eye on that zoo keeper. Snack time must be getting close because I am about to run out of stick."

"That keeper lied to me. This ain't no substitute for a cigarette!" I keep looking at the hands of the gorilla... so human like in nature that you could imagine that they could be capable of anything that a human hand would be capable of.

She's welcomed in my cage anytime!

Nice shot Gary, Enjoy your new equipment.. On my lens I hold it by the tripod mount and always have the camera strap over my head.

Sometimes the only way to solve the problem of constipation is - to work it out with a pencil! Wink

I have the same setup on a D200, very hard to hold steady, I bought a mono pod to give me a little more stability. You managed a fine capture here though, now try it on a windy day Smile

I hate these math quizzes...if you have 3 bananas and you take away 2 you have....
