Some hiking required, but this is an early morning light shot shooting from the North Window Arch framing the Turret Arch in the BG. Some tourists in the frame to show size perspective. I wish I could have stepped back further, but those who have been here know the space was very limited from this position. I shot this with an equivalent 37mm focal length.

Took a while to find the tourists but once finding them the landscape immediately jumped from being a tiny landscape to being a very large one. Interesting perspective with the rock formation arch serving as a framing fro the balance of the view over Arches National Park and the sky. Good textural component found in the image from the rock formation arch.

I know EXACTLY where you were standing, Gary, hope you were tethered to something though that Window!!! I took one look through that window and decided not to take any pics of turret arch with that North Window framing it. Magical and superb details throughout. Brings back wonderful memories of our trip there. Is balanced rock still balancing on the pinnacle base?

I can imagine people in the distant arch waiting for you in this one to move out so they can take a picture. The sunset really brings out some golden glow colours there. A tad of magenta in the sky but a very nice image. Without the small figures it would hard to get a handle on the huge scale of this place.

Stunning color and excellent use of the arch to frame the background.

Wonderful image of this often photographed arch, amazing what time & the elements can do..I think this comp works fine. I might address the color balance, agree with Vic about the skies slight magenta cast.
Wish I could get out there and get my own shot.
Well done!
