If you had not said pier I would imagined myself standing on the deck of a ship pulling away from the coast of the UK. I especially like the quality of the clouds... explosive feel to them.

Love this shot, gives me a feeling of freedom and wide open space, nice BW conversion works very well with the light here.

Good to see another B+W here and this is nicely composed although when you have 2 parallels (horizon and railing), they should ideally be lined up exactly parallel. Mind you, it seems that the railings curve here so you would need to get down with camera exactly parallel with the railing and then crop top or bottom as necessary for composition.
All in all, an excellent B+W capture.
