Actually I think these are Roseate Spoonbills. Whatever they are, this pink flock make a grand sight.

Great capture from the beautiful Sanibel Island. When ever your in Florida your always welcomed to give me a shout, I'd like to meet up and take you out on the Haines Creek River and show you around.

What a collection of spoonbills... we have two at our tropical house display and here it is like looking at Canadian geese in a pink plumage. Their varying poses and the contrast between their pink plumage and that of the water adds to the visual impact of the picture for me.

The color is extraordinary but I really like the various poses and wing arrangements....could almost be a B&W abstract in there.
