With the size of the little creature a few blades of grass really serve as a screen to hopefully keep the Snowy Plover chick out of view of any predators. Your low perspective works well to heighten the presence of the chick in the picture.

I'm sure he feels safe behind the foliage!
Fine capture of this little guy. I've enjoyed the shots you posted of the plovers.
