Now one knows where that snake in the grass expression came from... the framing greenery and that unblinking eye hold the viewer.

Most unusual eye for a snake - I always thought they hgad those orange slice shaped eyes. Glad you spotted him first. If it was me I would have been running as fast as my feet could carry me ...and of course screaming to go along with it.

Nice capture with good focus on the head of the snake. We have 5 types of snake down here in Tasmania but I haven't seen one yet and in the last 30 odd years have only seen one live snake anywhere in Australia,
