Precious Blood Church - Église catholique précieux sang

The interior view of the church is taken into the area of the twisting spiral roof of the structure. I liked the contrast between the warmth of the wood on the left and the cool nature of the stained glass on the right.

I did try this perspective without the lights but I found for myself that the light from the lights enhanced the warm feel of the wood.

Designed by Ètienne Gaboury, a St. Boniface-born architect. The twisting spiral roof is evocative of the teepees once used by Western Canada’s Aboriginal people. Inside, the natural light, wide spaces and the warmth of the wood exposed throughout invite spiritual reflection.

In CS2 I used the shadow/highlight and levels.

A good one for the theme, Jan; I like the light shining through the glass, and the soaring roof.

Beautiful, I really like all the wood work here and also stained glass. Nice addition to the Theme.

Good as it is. I think you could also try giving it more contrast, bringing out some darkness.

Very unique perspective and a cool shot Jan. I think it would look even better if the lights were cloned out as they tend to attract my eye away from the rest of this image...

Gorgeous. Without the interior lights we would have dark silhouettes rather than the rich warm brown. Unique angle of a difficult subject. Well done.
