My son came in a short while ago, and told me I needed to go and see the sunset; I think he was right!

Great sunset capture Gillie. I particularly like the quality of the clouds that seem almost anchored to the house. The contrast between the clouds and the yellowish hue of the more distant sky really helps to make those clouds stand out strongly in the image.

Whoa! 3D look. The cloud is perfectly placed to create the effect.

Glad he told you about it :-) The colors in the sky work nicely with the yellow of the house!

Your son has a good eye - buy him a camera! The after glow when the sun sinks below the horizon is always the best light - you were there at the perfect time.

By itself the house and lawn would be a bland scene (suitable for a real estate ad), yet with the sunset the entire environment comes to life. Light of the setting sun warms and gives appeal to the manicured neighborhood.

Those clouds are wonderful, a 3D effect indeed. Looks like the opening scene fro a move as we wonder what might be going on in that suburban home.
