A warm glow in an otherwise frozen scene. Nice capture and I prefer this one for that reason, well done.

Phill.

Hi Helen, I don't rate this one, because then your 10 goes, but I think I can make a suggestion here.
Love this moment of the day to make this shot. Do you have a tripod?
What I would do here is lower the ISO's to 100, that way you have the neatest possible picture. Then narrow your aperture to F18 or even F22, to get enough light the camera needs a long exposure, probably 20 o4 30 seconds, that would provide you with starburst around the streetlights. Then in my opi ion you have the perfect capture of this cold spell in England.

When you took this I bet you thought it couldn't get much worse - wrong! I agree with Els here. That's not to say it's a poor picture, far from it but just that his suggestions would make an improvement. That's if it's not too cold to stay out that long.

Helen, Hi:
I like your 2 part series of Daily Life - taken on the spur of the moment in the AM and than the night version. Very nice.
Congratulations

I think you have done an excellent job of capturing the feel here Helen. Given that you hand held it, is remarkably well done. I like it much better than the morning shot.
