Over the Moon

I was taking my morning walk when I saw the plane with the following contrail just slightly below the moon but by the time I took the shot the plane had risen above the moon. I would have liked to have had the plane below the moon just so I could compare the two to see which one I would have preferred.

Good job with sharpness and exposure in what I imagine to be hand held looking narly straight up. I like the illusion that the jet is actually beyond the moon.

Timing is everything, I like the plane about the moon. Comp is great, exposure is right on...what more can you ask for. Love it.

I like the 'plane being high above the moon, it's a great capture and the pilots would have the most spectacular view beyond...

Quite a simple but very effective image. Although you missed the plane as you wanted it below the moon it works for me, with the plane and moon being perpendicular to each other and the vapour trails coming out of the corner on the diagonal. Well captured..Phil

I get plenty of opportunities for photographs of contrails Jan but none that include the moon. Good colour for the sky and even at that height the plane is well detailed,
