This is an image which captured the sense of the romance of a location for me... a photograph of the Golden Gate Bridge from China Beach Park. I think this photograph was taken in the early 1980s on a drive from Canada to Mexico along the Pacific Coast and every time I see the picture I can once again feel the wind, smell the sea and hear the horns of the boats.

I tried the picture in a b&w format and the result just didn't work for me. This posting is not really much better in my mind but the Golden Gate has captured a sense of romance for me that stretches back to the first time I saw it in the late 1970s.

Jan, this is a place I have always wanted to photograph - never been to California, however. Thanks for your view of the famous bridge - interesting tree, as well.

Hi Jan, I remember driving over this bridge when I was 20 years old and stationed at the Army base Fort Ord in Monterey, Calif. We turned around once over and headed back to Monterey. Boy that was a long time ago. Wink

One long drive Jan, I have traversed Australia 14 times since 1969. Another interesting result from your conversion from slide,
David
