Another shot from my trip to Skegness a couple of years ago. This was taken earlier in the afternoon than my previous posting and you will not the general lack of people about.. it was actually a pretty chilly day and quite breezy so not many people ventured onto the pier.. good for me then Smile

To me this is a great shot, everything is in the right place, the bench and the lamp posts add interest to the scene, all the elements in the forground are nice and sharp.

Helen, Hi:

I really like this, peaceful and wonderful PoV, clarity of details really nice.
I could sit on the bench a while and just watch.

Congratulations

There is always something so tranquil and wonderful about these shots Helen. This is a true beauty with the solitary bench and the great lines you have used. I really like everything about this one.

Good diagonal composition leading off to the left. The main focal object is a bit too central for my liking. I'd also go to the trouble to clone out the little black object to the right of it (visible between the vertical struts) - it creates a bit of a distraction in an otherwise clear crisp composition. Exposure is good, good DOF, saturation and contrast. You have a good eye for clouds in your images. Well done!
