Reminds me of Sanibel Island. The FG lighting is exceptional in that it brings out the shadows in the sand which leads us to that wonderful sky. I bet this was glorious morning (?) to shoot.

Good detail in the grasses against the rosy sunrise sky.
I feel like I am there on the dune.

Nice management of light and color here. The ND filter and, I assume, fill flash, really makes this stand out. Great DoF too.
Very well done,
Thanks,
Wilt

Hmm, I noticed in the exif data that you didn't use a flash, sorry, I should have looked there first. Really fine lighting of the foreground indeed.

Hi there
A really superb shot here, great lighting and very nicely framed as the long grasses give superb sides to the view. The colours are really delightful as is the detailing..I am not sure about one small thing though, one of the grasses was clearly leaning towards you and is out of focus so much so that it looks like a brown blob and is a bit distracting.. sorry about that I am known to speak as I see lol. Still a really fantastic shot though.
Thank you for posting.
Kind regards Helen

It was windy that morning. The sea oat head in the left foreground was pointing towards me and blowing back and forth, making it out of focus. More of the heads can be seen in the background but aren't quite as distracting. Getting honest feedback about negatives as well as positives is, I think, part of the point of posting, so no offense taken at all.

You have to shoot these as you see them - or wait for the scene to be clear and risk losing the light. On balance, I think this is a superb piece of photography and, as much as I'm happy to offer constructive criticism as well as plaudits, I like this just as it is. Big ticks in the boxes for all the technicals and the 'feel' of the shot is gorgeous. Apparently, it's great golfing country round there - a big 'plus' when I'm aiming to visit anywhere! Great work. Paul.

Nicely composed. I like all the pink colors in the sky, they also seem to reflect onto the white sand giving it a slight pink color. Looke like a peaceful place to just set and take it all in.

For a "newbie" you sure have captured some stunning sunrises / sunsets. Right up there with the best of them. I love the way the grasses frame the sky. Beautiful lighting and color
