This is one the two Cheetah in my earlier post. We managed to catch up with this guy as the antelope was staring them down and letting them know that it wasn't ready to give up and make itself their dinner....just yet.

Although I wouldn't say I was disappointed not to see a kill during the game drive, I was hoping that there'd be a high-speed chase, just so I could get a fast-motion 'blur shot' of this magnificent creature in full flow. Maybe next time.....

Hiya Paul

Oh wow what a look.. doesnt that make you want to pack up your camera and run lol. Now I really am of two minds with this one.. part of me is saying "nope its just way too central" and then the other part says "nope its just perfect like this as its a nicely balanced portrait" so I have a hung jury on the positioning.. the detail is absolutely fantastic and the eye contact... well I don't think you could have done better.. Im not sure if its just a tad bright and if maybe the colours could do with a tiny lift though... hard call for me on that one as I have never been there and this might well be an exacting view.

Thank you for posting
Kind regards Helen

He is magnificent the way he is Paul. Your colour is natural and strong. I do think he would have more impact if you removed some of the bg and let us focus more on the kitty. I would love to have a shot such as this. Excellent.

A great picture Paul. The cheetah has a look of disdain or aloofness as he looks at you and your camera. I don't agree that this should be cropped and like you I feel it is better to show the animal in its natural habitat. Perhaps Wanda forgot to open the larger image which brings me to another point. The bokeh or colour noise or whatever it is in the upper area of darkish green might look smoother with a little blur brush work. Otherwise I'm jealous!
