The USS Constitution greets a new day at Charlestown Naval Yard. This was taken about a week after 9/11. The vessels at center (tug boats) were moving her to safer berth. I could hear the crew conversations and discovered their concern to my witness of the operation. My knee jerk reaction was to shout out across ta water, " It's ok,I'm on your side and only taking a photo." From the dark the reply was "Thanks....that is a comfort....I think."

One wishes that there had been more detailing in the hull of the USS Constitution to go along with all those lines and masts silhouetted against the sunset sky. The image is striking as is created by the color of the sky, the reflective nature of the water and the ship...

Interesting conversation leads to the title for the picture.

So glad the terrorists didn't get to this rock solid piece of American History. Your night time exposure reflects your title exactly. Love it - and the sunset radiating on the water sets the mood. Very nicely done!
