This is the Budweiser Brewery in South St. Louis just as the sun was setting. I liked the view with the semi silhouetted buildings and the smoke pumping out in big clouds as the wind trailed them off. It's hard to believe that this company is no longer American owned - Imbev from Germany is the new owner.

nice shot of the factory against the sunlight. A dark satanic mill, indeed.

A dark brooding feel to your composition of the Budweiser Brewery... heightened for me by the contrast between the near silhouetted feel of the brewery building at sunset and the manner in which you captured the setting sun highlighting the clouds. I like the contrast between the straight static lines of the building and those of the clouds and the connection you managed between the smoke rising from the brewery and the nature of the clouds themselves.

Solid silhouettes Diane and yet just enough detail. There is now only one Australian owned brewery here, a family concern located in South Australia. The major brewer is Lion Nathan owned by the Kirin Group (Japan) since 2009.

The darks are rather clogged up Diane and I find it difficult to "read" the picture. However, it was your intention to show a silhouette and you have indeed done so.

Just enough detail in this semi-silhoutte to retain the atmosphere of an industrial giant with blazing furnaces at the rear. I know there aren't but the atmosphere is there.
