A pleasing sense of texturing from the strawberry and the cream both of which stand out in the image set against the black background. One wishes that strawberries were this large... now that would be treat to write home about.

Well it is Wimbledon fortnight when all brits appaerently live on nowt but Strawberries and cream.
This is a neat capture which would take some patience to setup in this hot weather. Had you thought of turning it 90 degrees CW - kind of like the hackneyed bullet through a ligtbulb shot.
A nitpick and only my opinion of course but I do feel it lacks sparkle from a gentle polish or wetness or just a little flashlight shine to add an air of freshness.

Hi Vic,
I did try it turning 180 deg but thought it was a bit contrived.
Yes took a while to set up supporting the strawberry so that when I dripped the cream it ddn't move much and loose focus and trying to hide the support wire all in the heat of the conservatory in full sun trying not to get cream on my black cloth ..or camera...timing the shutter ....adding a spray of water may have been a good idea for highlights but I missed that one...all gone now..will have to get some more...
I really shouldnt be left alone with food stuffs and a camera... :-)

Something I just can't seem to manage Rob, great work.

Incredible details - well done, Rob. Especially like the cream colored stroke around the photo - makes it pop!
