A view coming from a flat city such as Winnipeg which really struck me... struck me enough to take a picture of the city street in San Francisco.

If anyone has ever visited San Francisco they know it is a city of hills. You walk, you drive, you just sit and you will see the hills and with the hills come locales such as with steps which I guess the citizens of San Francisco take for granted but to a flatlander such as I they came as a surprise.

Tom Graham, in an article in the San Francisco Chronicle, listed 53 hills.

I remember those hilly streets in San Francisco very well. Love your perspective - perfect to show the grade of the street but even more so with the steps! Nice.

Good one Jan. SF is one of the few American cities I'd like to visit.
I'm never sure which is best - a slope or steps?

I would image that elderly folk find these very steep streets with steps to be extremely tiring.
