Taken a few minutes after my last post I'm about 100 foot from him but out of shot on my left was a complete nut job who got with in about 10 foot of him and as you can see he was starting to get the hump! me and my mate made our excuses ( aLa news of the world)and left

Yeah some people have no regard for their safety when it comes to photographing animals... your stag, bears, moose, etc.... thinking they are like their pet at home and not a wild creature.... and in mating season no less.

It's always a good choice to never get between a stag and his lady love. You definitely chose the wiser and much safer choice to exit the area. Wild creatures are just that...wild and they need their space. But I do love the look that stag is giving you - it's that "This is my territory and you are trespassing - now scram!" look! That's for sure!
