Had a day out on Brownsea Island to shoot the red Squirrels and got this lad having lunch I showed the image to one of the rangers and he reckons that this little lad is one of this years earlys as he still has his juvinile coat apparantly red squirrels have a litter of babies in march/april then a second lot in the late summer who spend the autumn/winter in the dray

Always find squirrels a fascinating creature to watch and photograph... those little paws holding their food gives them a human like quality that is endearing. This time of the year they are so busy getting loaded up with food for winter that it is easier to approach them and get some decent shots.

Adorable little red squirrel - love his body language. He looks like a juvenile and the saturation is so perfect.
