In my working days we used to celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve. The day started like any other but as the time drew near one could see spirits rising, the bubble of anticipation and then Santa Claus made his appearance and it was a time for a sharing of gifts, food and just the joy of the season.

Not sure when I took this picture but from some of the accompanying pictures I have I would say it was the late 1970s. I just liked the look of the young child as he tried to take in what was happening in front of him and around him.

I will say to the day I pass from this orb that there was no Christmas like one shared with loved ones, friends and as such the Foundation Christmases will always reign as the best there ever were.

He looks like he's waiting for the presents to be handed out and he definitely has his eyes set on one in particular.

He looks like he should be in bed still. It is a long time since small children were involved in my Christmas. I was never woken early, my two had be to woken up. A lovely image Jan,
