A picture taken in the summer of 1982 on a visit to San Francisco. I was on a drive from northern Vancouver Island to San Diego before returning home to Winnipeg, Manitoba.

I liked the sense of the working fishing boats in the harbour, the smell of the sea (which one can only imagine) and the food (nothing better than a slab of sour dough bread and a little fresh crab).

You captured all there was to catch at the harbor with the fishing boats. And you don't have to hit me in the head with a brick as I can smell the ocean just looking at this perfect shot. Especially like the glimpse of the fisherman in the doorway to the ship's controls. Your image has a painterly look to it - like you sat there with your camera and painted it with your lens. Really very nicely done!

I really must make an attempt to get back to the Tamar and get some photos of the fishing boats. The colours there are nowhere near as bright as this though Jan, well captured and processed.
