Brought these in from the garden this morning, far too windy outside for close up stuff.
Side lit with flash and silver foil reflector on other side.
Tripod and old Tamron sp90mm macro lens used manual with FujiX converter attached to back.

You are lucky to have these lovely "blooms" in your garden. You have taken a lot of trouble to photograph them and done it very well too!

I like the contrast between the yellowish hue and the created background which makes the catkins visually "pop" in the picture. A strong textural feel also as if the viewer could reach right into the image and touch the yellows strands of the catkins.
