I thought of this image when over the weekend I read of the first reports of geese being sighted migrating north in Manitoba. Not always sure if these are migratory birds or simply birds that wintered over.

An early morning capture taken last summer of a gathering of geese on the banks of the Red River. Some mornings you come by here and there are no birds and then some mornings they are everywhere.

I like the quality of the light with the sun shining through the sunrise clouds, the colors and all those geese.

There are certainly quite a crowd of Geese in your photograph (maybe I should say a gaggle of geese) all scattered down that slope toward the river. The morning sky and reflections inn the water are very pleasing.

Your exposure is bang on and you have put me there live with this photo. You certainly have set the perfect metering to record the scene just as it was. Nicely done, Jan.

A pretty scene Jan and lovely sunrise colours. One large gaggle there,
