Back in my traveling days I used to spent a lot of time driving through the western United States. Nowadays I wish I would have spent some time keeping a diary of my travels and the photographs that I took.

I traveled in the fall or winter of the year and so from the mountains I would have to say I was either in northern Utah or western Wyoming.

I liked the contrast between the snow in the mountains and the muted hues of the foreground trees and fields.

WOWWIE - what an exposure! Love how the distant clouds enhance the snow capped peaks and seem to simmulate the cold temperatures rising off them. Looks like Utah to me - what a crisp, clear photo - I LOVE IT!!! My favorite part of the country too!

I wish I had a camera when my brother and I would drive backwards and forwards across Australia. Stunning scenery Jan and lovely detail,
