It was just after dawn and I was out for an early morning walk looking for a restaurant so I could get a cup of coffee. I happened to be walking close by the waterfront and on this foggy morning I had to take a picture.

I wish I would have waited a couple of seconds more to allow the fellow on the ramp to have walked further down that ramp.

It was the early 1980s in Port McNeill on the north coast of Vancouver Island and I was on my way to Port Hardy to visit my home town and to see my brother.

There is just something about fog that creates a mood as well as bringing back childhood memories of growing up in a town by the sea.

Nice work Jan both in the photo and processing. I quite often didn't see people until my photos were at the process stage,

While I agree with you about the fellow about to step down the ramp to the boats - the anticipation of his entering the area gives adventure to the capture. And how I love your exposure - grabbing the misty fog and tucking it in between and behind the boats and over the water. Super good settings and post processing.
