I'm a big fan of Turner Classic Movies and their movies from the 1940s... the only thing missing from most of those movies is color so I appreciate being able to see the color of the garments in your image from the 1940's re-enactment event.

Your photo captures all the elegance and style of the 40's. Especially like the way the ladies styled their hairdos with unique styles - very unlike the young gals today - some of which look like they never used a comb and brush on their hair.
