Just as the sun was about to set, our cruise ship was pulling out of Mazatlan I took this capture of a mountain of rock with a lighthouse perched on the top. Made a mental marker right then and there never to take a job as a lighthouse keeper - no matter what the wages might be!

I love the striations in the rock Diane and the pink tinge in the sky. There is a 6 monthly job going off the south coast of Tasmania manning the light house at Maatsuyker Island. Unfortunately I can't post the link.

I like the painterly feel of your image and the contrast between the mountain and the sea and sky which serves to make the mountain (and the lighthouse atop it) stand out strongly in the image.

A different lighthouse than I'm used to with most of the lighthouses that I've seen being much closer to the water and seeming ready to be swept away with the first large wave that came along. This lighthouse looks like it will be there as long as there is a need for lighthouses without fear of being done in by the elements.
