An image that makes me say to myself: "What was I thinking taking this picture of the coastal landscape of B.C. and putting a telephone pole and accompanying wiring right in the middle?" I guess too lazy to walk the few steps to take me to the other side of the pole.

This is Deep Cove which is just northeast of Vancouver. Located at the foot of Mount Seymour, Deep Cove faces due east, fronting on to Indian Arm, a branch of the Burrard Inlet.

This photo at Deep Cove pulled me into the moment when I first opened it. My eye traveled down the dock where I jumped into a little tender boat to take me to my designated sailboat in the cluster to the left. By using the telephone pole as a separator between the two areas your capture tells a delightful story. But those clouds - WOWWIE - they are so dynamic. They look like they are ready to blow a puff of wind into the sails of the boat as soon as you are ready to get underway.

I thought is was blurry Jan and then I saw you had applied the soft focus. Stunning clouds as Diane mentions,

Like David, I immediately thought what a shame it's soft! The telegraph pole and for me - the soft focus - makes me feel it's not one of your better pictures Jan. Sorry!
