I thought I would post the original image of Deep Cove, B.C. to perhaps why I would have applied the effects that I made use of.

This image originally was a slide shot with Kodachrome 64. Several years ago I had all the slides on hand transferred to DVDs... simply easier to work with. Some elements along the edges were cropped out but there was a roughness to the image which I thought a soft focus might deal with while retaining the sense of place.

Of course nothing could deal with the perspective placing the telephone pole at the heart of the image and since it is unlikely that I will be visiting the locale any time soon I felt the effects might work.

This is Deep Cove which is just northeast of Vancouver. Located at the foot of Mount Seymour, Deep Cove faces due east, fronting on to Indian Arm, a branch of the Burrard Inlet.
