Not sure when I took this image of the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco but I would guess it was on a visit to San Francisco in the early 1980s. I would like to think that when I took this image that I was not alone in my visit so that I got to share the Palace and the rest of San Francisco with someone who had never visited the city.

No matter the quality of the picture any visit to San Francisco had a hold your breathe feeling for me.

Thanks for the links Jan, reliving old memories. The building is unique in style and could be anywhere in Europe.
