Because of the low light and the speed of the people moving across they did not receive enough exposure in one position to record. The ships masts would have been slowly moving in the same place and thus appear soft. Ideally, if you can take your "night exposures" while there is still a little light in the sky to record some detail there then the results will be even better.

Wonderful warm glow on the buildings of the streetlights. The leading dock to the right captures my eye and leads it on a wonderful tour of this perfectly exposed capture. Especially like the sunburst glow of the streetlights. Puts a superb finishing touch on this one.

Very well taken Els, lots to take in, I suppose that dose become a problem if the static objects are moving slightly, lovely scene though.

Hi Els,
This is a great night time capture, I like the way the exposure has turned the lights to stars and the reflections in the water are good, you have also managed to capture some good details in the building.
