As most of you may know from Vic's postings that we spent last week in the Lake District. We were spoilt for choice regarding photo opps. This was taken early morning after a slight frost and the weather was calm which allowed for the mirror reflection

Hello Mick

What a truly breathtaking view this is. A perfectly composed shot with nice Fg detail and stunning reflections. Im wondering if the shot could do with just a tad more contrast though.
Thank you for posting
kind regards Helen

This is, I suppose, very lifelike. It's the view I want to see. Nice foreground, though I'd like to see the blooms a bit more.

Flawless composition with a perfect exposure of that beautiful reflection. Guess you must be on a personal basis with the morning light gods to have such perfect lighting.

Rare to see the water so smooth to get that perfect reflection. Well captured image.

This should be disqualified for the wrong title. This a view across Crummock water! Smile Aside from that you got an great result here and a super-smooth reflection. The slight lack of contrast Helen refers to is a light mist through which the rising sun had just begun to shine and which even a polariser didn't defeat. In any case it's what we saw and part of the atmosphere of the place. Composition, detail and colour are all excellent.

Fabulous composition, foreground object to distant hills and sky; the fog is just right for the early morning mood as well.
The reflection speaks for itself, beautiful.
Great work,
Thanks,
Wilt

Beautiful symmetry in the reflection and I like the way that the gorse balances out the sky in the overall composition.

That same soft light which shows in so many of your images Mick. Lovely natural colours and the reflections just great,
