Preparing the Banquet

Again, from Kentwell Hall. This was taken in the main kitchen as the cooks prepared the banquet to signify the end of Lent.


I used fill-in flash and dialed in -1.7 on the exposure compensation to avoid burning out the foreground and leaving the shadows / colours rich and deep.

Nice work Peejay,like this one a lot the colours are spot on and I like the way the steam coming off the pot is moving round the cook I think that this is the best of the 3 images

Hi Richard. Thanks, glad you like it. I wasn't sure whether to post it as the angles are all over the place - but I just couldn't resist the subject matter - it's so beautifully warm and cluttered! Wish I had a kitchen like it. Regards, Paul.

Peejay they are all like paintings. The light coming from the window and lighting the corner is superb. Thank you for showing us and for letting us know where to go when in England.

This for me is the best of what is a wonderful series. All have look and feel of old masters oil paintings.
Impressive work. Very well done.

Another fab shot in this series, lovely and sharp, great stop action detail and a good story feel to it.
