This was taken at Palolem beach in Goa. These girls went almost completely submerged at one point but I just loved the colours against the blue of the Indian Ocean.
Palolem was (still is?) a magnet for 'hippies' and those looking for the ultimate in relaxation. Although I suspect that it isn't as restful today as it was in the late 60's and early 70's, it's a beautiful and less hurried part of Goa than the tourist traps of Calangute and Baga.
This beach was also featured in the opening sequence of The Bourne Supremacy where the hero had taken the female lead to live in the relative safety of India until the CIA's hit-man finally caught up with him.....
