I re-worked this earlier image to boost exposure, contrast, saturation as suggested by all who viewed it. Better?


I'm still not sure about the stump itself. The clean cut suggests a saw at work, though that seems unlikely given the location and conditions at this state park. Does anyone think it undermines the image?

The cut stump doesn't bother me, it gives the impression that the tree was growing mangrove-like and has been cut en-situ. The only aspect I personally don't consider an improvement is the loss of shadow detail.
