Last in my short series on Swans.
Taken at Fishers Green near Waltham Abbey. This Swan was across the river watching intently for anything to disturb its nest.

A sleeping swan, lying in dark grasses - that is not an easy task you gave yourself. Because the sharp contrast between light and dark the feathers in the middle of the swan's body are overexposed. You could try to overcome that by using a light correction with probably 3 steps down and then make a copy of the picture, use a gamma correction upwards on the copy and with the clonestamp paint in the body of the swan - it would be beautiful to see each and every feather on it.
Now I have to tell you that I am no expert in photography - I am still learning how to make a good picture - so these are just my thoughts.

The highlight exposure is so close to spot-on that a very small adjustment in Shadow/highlights is all this needs. As Els says, a difficult exposure handled well.

Your series has been stunning. Amazing in color and clarity of the Swans. Thanks, very nicely done.
