this is a good example of the majority of scenery around where I live, mostly farmland with odd bits of farm machinery dotted about. Generally you can always see towns or villages in the distance and of course the sheep are always grazing. Oh and we do have beautiful sunny days on the odd occasion but being the UK this pretty much sums up the weather too.

Hi Helen,
Nice entry for the theme, rolling farm land and old machinery, how awfully English.
Well done
Regards Andy

Hi Helen, I've been away for a while, hope you didn't miss me too much...)))
I like this frame, but to be honest with you, I like dark and punchy tomes better. To me the density seems a bit weak. As far as composition, it's quite an appealing scene. I'm afterall a country boy...who became urban man...))
Take care.

Hi Helen,I can relate to this shot living in rural herefordshire with farms in abundance and you've captured the feel of this well, but i agree with atoworks-it could do with punch in contrast/levels to bring out detail in that old machinery.

I like the comment of punch to bring out the machinery, however, remembering my trip to Scotland on the dull days i think you did well to capture as much detail and contrast as you did. I really like the composition of it from foreground to back is well done. I wish I could send you some of our sun.. oh but you will see it yourself next year Smile

Helen, this reminds me of my surroundings as well, but we do get alot of sunshine and awful humidity. This was such a a great theme to allow others to have a taste of places they might not otherwise get to visit.
