"Mud, mud, glorious mud
Nothing quite like it for cooling the blood
So follow me follow, down to the hollow
And there let me wallow in glorious mud"
(The Hippopotamus song)

Sometimes as a black flat coated retriever the only way to cool down on a walk on a sunny day is to find a puddle of the most revolting, stinking, sticky mud and just roll about in it.

The smell lingered in my car for days.....

(fully agree with comments from Helen and Tracey - this is a long long way from being a technically good picture, but still one worth taking and keeping)

Hi Mark, Was just about to log out and get some ZZs and I saw this... please excuse the format of my comment but I type it exactly as it came to me.

Lighting not too good. 5p
Postitioning.. a bit too central. 10p
Detail. a little lost due to the harsh lighting. 6p

Image of filthy dog jumping in the car...absolutley priceless LOL

and of course.. for anything elce...like the car/dog wash for example there is always mastercard lol

On a more serious note. im sure you agree its not tehcnically brilliant but oh boy it was a shot not to be missed and worth the smile.. I have so been there with my dogs and they HAVE to walk home and be greeted with the hosepipe lol.

Thank you for posting.
Kind regards Helen

Hi Mark!
Technicals aside i really like this shot, so typical of a dog to find the smelliest of perfumes Smile and she's looking pretty guilty too with that tail tucked in!! You could try using the shaddow and highlight tool to tone down the brightest areas, it may improve it slightly.

Regards Vic
