Hello friends.
This young Black Bird is already to old, to be fed by its parents, as he is from the second generation this year and parents are very busy to feed the young ones in the thirth nest.
He/She is on its own now. have to find the food itself. Hard time it has now.
Regards from Jan

Ja Jan, het leven is hard, óók voor zo'n jonge merel....!
Mooie scherpe opname in een fraaie diagonaal.
Lag je hiervoor plat op de grond?

Groet uit Renesse,
Adri

Goede Morgen Adri. Thanks for your comment.
Groeten, jan

Ah Jan he wants you to help him out there. A few bread crumbs would help fill his little tummy. Great eye contact with this little fellow.Very nice details through out his feathers. Well done.

Nice close up of the young bird - I especially like the catchlight in his eye. I hope your model got paid for this shot - some seeds or a worm at the very least!
Cheers.....Mark

Hi Mark.
They cost me a fortun, haha
Throughout the year I buy seeds to feed them. The male merel comes to me soon I go outside to the shed to get the seed.
As the crows like to steel it, I clap my hands, the crows flies away but the Blackbird stays, as he nows it not for him.
He now is so brave, he goes behind the crows himself, Haha.
Thanks for your visit.

Excellent details, exposure and DOF, nice pose. Reminds me of the female Red-winged Blackbird that visited last year, had one shot when it came near..
Yours is much better Smile
