Taken last year at Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens.

All of the animals here are part of international breeding programmes, although they seem to have an eclectic mix of birds in their walk through aviaries.

If anyone knows what this species is I'd appreciate any pointers.

Very interesting, Mark. Unusual and very colorful. I would not have a clue as to species.

Thanks

A good attempt with a model that seems to be interested Smile Good focus and catchlight on the eye - focus drops off on the feet. Slightly over exposed on chest - my guess is you used a flash. The crop makes it very "portrait" compared to very "nature". The latter needs the bird to sit in balance with some object around it to give context. Keep it up!

Hiya Mark

This is gorgeous..probably spelt that wrong but its late and i cant be bothered to spell check it lol. Nicely composed and I love the catchlight and the detail in his feathers. I have no idea what breed this but when I get a moment I will do some reseach and see if I can find out.
Thank you for posting
kind regards Helen
