I found this image interesting because it was taken at 11:17 AM looking North as a heavy and frosty fog was lifting with the sun trying to come in from the west. If you look closely you will, also, see 2 Bald Eagles in the sky.

This was taken 3 miles east of our home and is a favorite Bald Eagle area during the winter.
Thanks so very much for having a look.

Thanks to the Team at PC for the wonderful site.

Cindy and I Wish Everyone a very Happy New Year - full of health and success. We look forward to everyones amazing images in the new year.

Greetings my friend,
What a stunning winter scene. The curve of the river leads one into the image and is so dynamic. Wonderful colours and clarity. Regards to Cindy. Joni

HI Larry
A beautiful array of frost covered of stalks and branches.
Love how the sun is trying to come through giving two different colours to the scene, which looks mighty cold.
My best wishes to you and Cindy for the coming new year.

Cia Larry

I like your post.
I like the white landscape and frozen
of grass and bushes.
Your picture reminds me a photo in negative!
Congratulations my friend.
of very good taste!

Hello Larry

A lovely but very chilly looking POV here nice jack frost sharp detail and wonderful colour with good white balance. I can see the eagle on the top right but have to be totally honest here the spots on the top centre I wondered if it was dust on the lens.. please dont think me rude for saying this as you have said they are eagles in your notes..but bear in mind when it is a distant object within your shot and stands out like this does some people might not read notes or indeed you may not always have the opportunity to add notes to an image being judged.. All said the image is superb and I hope you didnt mind me pointing out that small fact.

Kind regards and love to Cindy and yourself for a wonderful new year

Hi Larry
From the thumbnail I thought I was seeing waves. but it turned out to be the frost. What a wonderful image this makes.
Have a happy New Year

Hi Larry,

A truly wonderful picture to end the year with. This frost on the trees is something we rarely see in our country and the way the white is really white - and yes I can see them- the eagles are overseeing their territory - it's all very enjoyable.
All the best for the New Year, keep warm and enjoy saying goodbye to the Old Year.

Oh Larry, this is truly lovely. I have seen mornings like this but never really captured one so beautifully. I can feel the cold air and the beautiful sun here. I would have loved to see the eagles closer, but seeing them there is still a wonderful touch. All the very best to you and Cindy for the upcoming year my dear friend.

A lovely winter scene that I have only seen on photos and will probably never witness in real life due to living in a "sunshine country" and therefore it is even more beautiful to me. With my frame of reference I thought it was one of those rare occasions of foam on a beach when I saw the thumbnail.. Thanks for sharing the beauty and a very happy 2009 for you and yours.

That is one heavy frost Larry, I noticed the eagles straight up too. A lovely wintery image, well composed and fine detail,

Chilling with all that frost. Nicely compose, and very attrative subject.
Interesting play of light, but I think a touch too low contrast, matter of taste at this point. I think also a bit too red, althought once again minor.
Nice catch.
