Nice colour and good job with the sharpness - having tried to capture some swallowtails earlier this year I don't think I saw one which kept its wings still for more than a second.

Wow, a very colorful photo. Even the BG has a bright color. It really stands out in the gallery. The sharpness and DOF are pefect giving the b'fly and flower many details to look at.

Yes Mark I know just what you mean, it was constantly moving about and required a great deal of patience to get these shots!

Hello there Meg

Well you certainly have a beautifully coloured garden and this image is just delightful. Your details are sharp and the butterfly is perfectly positioned within the shot. Excellent colour saturation and an all round superb image.
Thank you for posting
kind regards Helen

Colourful and almost surreal with the masses of colour and detail. Nice one...

Cracking image Meg, i have yet to see one of these here in the UK and if i ever get a shot as colourful and sharp as this i will be chuffed to bits. your patience in waiting for just the right moment paid dividends here. A truely excellent shot of this beautiful butterfly, very nicely done.
Regards
Vic.
