Hi Peeps another shot taken in my garden back on the odd hot day we had in August. I know its not the best of shots the sky is a dreadful colour as it was overcast but for some reason I quite like this one. The butterfly was on the side of the flower and I liked the angle here.

You have fine detail in the wings Helen .. the backlighting is making this possible .. maybe a crop from the top to just above the flutter bye Smile

I love this Helen! - it's so appealing in it's simplicity. The cloudy sky worked in your favor I think, as it provides a perfect neutral b/g - and the frame picks up beautifully the color of the flower. The detail, exposure and slight silhouette effect make this a stand-out, but the overall artistic effect is what really caught my eye.

Hi Helen,
Another good macro here! Bright overcast conditions are my favorite and are often the best for this sort of shot because the diffused light makes the image less contrasty and tends to give a more even exposure. Even backlit, this one has plenty of detail without being silhouetted.
The nice simple composition works well for this subject too.
Kind regards
Vic.

Backlit this shows details you don't often see in a "simple" white butterfly - a nice capture.

Helen, Hi and Good Morning:

Splendidy composed and very very artistically presented. A wonderful beginning to our morning, my friend.

Thanks

Hi Helen, another wonderful image.I feel i would personally have cropped it more from the top. The wings are in focus and the rest is nicely presented.
